baked jalapeño poppers
cheesy, jalapeño-y things are my love language.
so are simple, cute appetizers like this.
feel the love and make these poppers. amen.
baked jalapeño poppers
makes 20 poppers
you'll need:
10 jalapeños
8 oz. fat-free cream cheese, softened
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper
couple dashes cayenne
preheat oven to 350. slice jalapeños in half and use a spoon to scoop out most of the seeds (do leave a few in there - you need a little heat!)
in a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 1/3 cup cheddar, chili powder, black pepper, and cayenne. spoon mixture into each jalapeño half and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. sprinkle remaining cheddar on top.
bake in oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and just beginning to brown.
these are fun to make, but even more fun to eat :) enjoy! xx
