happy friday + links i love

Happy Friday, y'all! What are you up to this weekend? Miles will be away for a friend's bachelor party, and I'll be here in Dallas celebrating my sweet friend Anna with a baby shower. I can't wait! Hope you have a great one. Here are some things I loved this week...

This BBQ in a box would make the cutest summer gift.

I'd love to try making soba noodles at home.

This gorgeous summer dish is almost too pretty to eat.

I'm in love with this striped dress.

Has anyone read David Sedaris's new book?

This is a great how-to for vegan buttercream frosting.

10 fabulous summer party favors.

I need this tea towel.

When you travel, do you keep a food journal? I never have, but I'm planning on it when Miles and I head to Paris next month!

Plus, some delicious recipes for your weekend:

  1. David Sedaris's book is on my library list.. just waiting my turn. I love all his previous books so I'm hoping this is just as good. That BBQ in a box is too cute, some of those items you can get at the dollar bin at Target.. I have the little hamburger holders and they are too cute!

  2. I do love The Kitchn! And I don't usually keep any kind of journal when traveling, except for our trip to Paris. I took a little notebook, dotted down notes, kept some receipts and mementos to make a little scrapbook so I'd remember what I tasted and what I thought. My memory isn't so reliable otherwise. : )

  3. I'm planning to keep a food journal while we're in Italy too! I think it will be really cool to really take a moment to appreciate the flavors of a different culture and to jot those thoughts down. :)
