summer!

via
My summer break has officially begun! Yes! I couldn't be more thrilled and ready for a little bit of a breather. Here's to lazy mornings with coffee and a good book, afternoons by the pool, and plenty of nights filled with good friends and food. Summer, I'm ready for ya!

I hope that y'all have a great weekend! Here are some links to kick it off...

Cheers to summer!

Who wants a friendship bracelet?

I'm determined to have at least mild gardening success this summer.

Such a cute summer skirt!

This stamped scarf seems doable.

Elements of a good porch. (I'm sitting on ours right now!)

10 great summer salads.

I love everything about this room!

A perfect go-to summer dress.

The cutest burger buns of your life.

Miles would be so happy if I made these for dinner.

The summer issue of Chickpea is out! I love this publication.

We're headed to Vancouver and Seattle next month! Would love to hear from y'all - where we should eat, what we should do, etc.

Plus, some recipes I can't wait to try:

  1. I spent all last summer in Seattle while interning for Seattle Times! It's an AWESOME city!

    My must-dos for you:
    -Pike Place Market
-Gelatiamo (get the chocolate hazelnut gelato, out of this world good)
-Go to Spuds for fish n chips
-Go to The Matador for really dope Mexican food in West Seattle (VERY pretty there and it's across the bridge from downtown Seattle); also go to Memo's and get their carne asada fries (delicious)!
-I had a really great sandwich from Delicatus so go there
-I never got around to going but you have to try the Dahlia Bakery for me (check out their cookbook in a bookstore, everything is so pretty!)

If all else fails look at my Foursquare list too: https://foursquare.com/marissaaevans/list/seattle-summer-2013-to-do-list : )

  6. Okay that flamingo skirt is THE CUTEST. If only it doesn't cost ALL THE MONEY. Also I need that mac and cheese. Like whoa.

Go to any Tom Douglas restaurant in Seattle! He's the best.
